ClockClock 24

ClockClock 24

About

ClockClock 24 is a wall of twenty-four analog clocks that behave as one. The forty-eight hands move together to compose the current time in a large digital typeface, then dance between numerals in choreographed transitions that make you look up every time. The Stockholm studio Humans Since 1982 has been refining this piece for over a decade. Each clock is individually stepper-motor driven, wall-mounted in a lacquered MDF frame, and controlled by a hidden micro-controller running the studio's custom firmware. It's kinetic sculpture that also happens to tell the time — the piece of workplace art that quietly makes every meeting more bearable.
