Doric Lamp 01

Kismas's Doric Lamp 01 is a small sculptural table light that borrows the fluted column of classical Greek architecture and shrinks it to a scale that lives on a shelf, a bedside table, or a mantle. The body is turned from alabaster; the light glows warmly through the stone. A single dimmable LED sits inside the column, rechargeable over USB-C, giving eight to twenty hours per charge depending on brightness. There is no cord in use, no switch on a base — you touch the top and it comes on. It's the piece of lighting that turns a corner from lit to considered, and the kind of small object that starts to define a room.
