Virgil Abloh. Nike. ICONS

About

Taschen's Virgil Abloh. Nike. ICONS is a full document of "The Ten" — the 2017 project in which Abloh dismantled and reconstructed ten of Nike's most recognizable silhouettes, from the Air Jordan 1 to the Presto. The book pairs Abloh's own annotated sketches with archival Nike blueprints, factory samples, and Ari Marcopoulos photography. It runs 352 pages, printed at scale, with a design system that mirrors Abloh's own — quotation marks, technical typography, red zip-ties. Every page reads like a design brief made public. It's a study in remixing icons without erasing them, and a rare look inside a collaboration that changed the shape of contemporary sneaker design.

Coffee-table publisher of cultural monographs.
